This is not the only show which sends the same message. The sense that I am getting is that Russia has given up on the West. Sure, she will continue talking, and she will try, against all evidence, to elicit some adult responsible behavior from western politicians, but nobody in Russia is holding his/her breath.

"Let me be clear, Britain will not be taking part in any airstrikes in Syria. I can be very clear about that," Hammond said. Moreover, Steinmeier underlined Berlin’s view, reaffirming that “nobody asked us to participate and we will not participate.” The statements come a day after US President Barack Obama authorized airstrikes in Syria for the first time. Meanwhile, Turkey said it will not allow any US-led coalition to use its bases to attack ISIL militants in neighboring Iraq and Syria. A Turkish official said Ankara has rejected to take part in any combat operations against the ISIL terrorists but will continue to provide humanitarian support. The ISIL terrorists control large swathes of Syria's northern territory. The group sent its members into neighboring Iraq in June and seized large parts of land there in a lightning advance. Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since 2011. The Western powers and their regional allies -- especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey -- are reportedly supporting the militants operating inside Syria.

The United States and NATO attack on the Russian Federation has failed. The Ukrainians who refused to accept the legitimacy of the West’s puppet government emerged victorious on the battlefield. If there is any doubt on that point, Ukraine’s decision to sign the Minsk Protocol cease fire agreement is proof.
President Poroshenko seemed like a man in the cat bird seat when western nations chose sides in a civil war and kicked out his predecessor. The road to hell was paved with very bad intentions. One wouldn’t know it from reading and viewing the corporate media, but the western gambit has been disastrous. More than 1 million people have been displaced (most fled to Russia), the economies of many countries have been damaged by sanctions, and atrocities such as the shooting down of Malaysian Airlines flight 17 would have been avoided if there had been any grown ups at work in the western capitals. Ukraine acknowledged that its country would be broken up among the groups it had been fighting, with special status for the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

Ukraine has been trying to sign a ceasefire for several months but always succumbed to American pressure to hang on a little longer. Unfortunately there is more reason to fear than to rejoice at this juncture because of the insanity emanating from Washington. No one knows what our government will do next or where it will attack. We can only be certain of the uncertainty of events and that means the evil doers will not always get their way. Just ask Ukrainian president Poroshenko, the poster child of unintended consequences.
After destroying Libya and killing president Gaddafi the evil empire concluded that they had found a winning formula. Fortunately for humankind, Bashir al Assad hangs on in Syria. The signs of desperation in the capitalist West are obvious. Their “rebels” in Syria can’t defeat Assad, they can’t get support among their own people for war and yet they still used Ukraine’s political crisis to take on Putin and failed. The United States is committed to making war on the rest of the planet and uses its military and economic muscle to get its way. Peace is the last thing that the Nobel Peace Prize winning president wants to see.

Six of the nine trucks carrying medicines have been unloaded, RIA Novosti reports. Lugansk residents will start receiving the aid on Monday. “Now the humanitarian aid has been received and we thank the Russian Federation for help in these difficult times. The humanitarian aid will be distributed on Monday,” said the leaders of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic. Ukrainian customs officers refused to inspect the convoy together with their Russian counterparts when given the chance, said Nikolay Sinitsyn, a representative of the Russian Interior Ministry in the Rostov region, southwest Russia.

The 200 white Kamaz trucks were waiting for their turn to undergo customs proceedings, as the first group moved into Ukrainian territory early on Saturday morning.

Remember when our rulers told us that regimes like Saddam, Gaddafi, and Assad were the epitome of evil and must be liberated because they allegedly killed their own citizens? Probably not. Americans have short memories. I only remind you to let you know that the U.S. and other Western governments have reversed their stance on regimes killing their own citizens.
They now fully endorse and support this rule-with-an-iron-fist so long as the victims can be successfully labeled "separatists" or "terrorists". In fact, they want in on the action. The Pentagon began wargaming this week with the regime in Ukraine on how best to kill pesky citizens in Eastern Ukraine who oppose the U.S. Vice President's son stealing and fracking shale gas on their land. People who defend their land and families are called "terrorists" when imperial powers want their resources. In turn, Western rulers call violent coups "duly elected" if they pledge allegiance to the IMF. This situation is creating friction among the world's superpowers not seen since the Cold War. Obama recently expressed concern that "The old order isn’t holding and we’re not quite where we need to be in terms of a new order." Later in the speech he blamed uncooperative nations (read Russia) for standing in the way of the New World Order. It seems if Russia doesn't get on board with the Western-led world order, these powers are destined to clash in a West vs. East showdown over international banking and the control of gas supplies.

In February of 2014 this global chess game heated up in a new venue: Ukraine. The real target however was Russia. You see Russia just happens to be the worlds second largest oil exporter, and not only have they been a thorn in Washington's side diplomatically, but they also opened an energy bourse in 2008, with sales denominated in Rubles and gold. This project had been in the works since 2006. They have also been working with China to pull off of the dollar in all of their bilateral trade. Russia has also been in the process of organizing a Eurasian Economic Union which includes plans to adopt common currency unit, and which is slated to have its own independent energy market. Leading up to the crisis in Ukraine had been presented with a choice: either join the E.U. under an association agreement or join the Eurasian Union. The E.U. insisted that this was an either or proposition. Ukraine couldn't join both. Russia on the other hand, asserted that joining both posed no issue. President Yanukovich decided to go with Russia. In response the U.S. national security apparatus did what it does best: they toppled Yanukovich and installed a puppet government. This article from the Guardian is also worth reading. Though this all seemed to be going well at first, the U.S. quickly lost control of the situation. Crimea held a referendum and the people voted overwhelmingly to secede from Ukraine and reunify with Russia. The transition was orderly and peaceful. No one was killed, yet the West immediately framed the entire event as an act of Russian aggression, and this became the go to mantra from that point on. Crimea is important geostrategically because of its position in the Black Sea which allows for the projection of naval power into the Mediterranean. It has also been Russian territory for most of recent history. The U.S. has been pushing for Ukraine's inclusion into NATO for years now. Such a move would place U.S. forces right on Russia's border and could have potentially resulted in Russia losing their naval base in Crimea. This is why Russia immediately accepted the results of the Crimean referendum and quickly consolidated the territory. Meanwhile in Eastern Ukraine, two regions declared independence from Kiev and held referendums of their own. The results of which overwhelmingly favored self rule. Kiev responded to this with what they referred to as anti-terrorist operations. In practice this was a massive and indiscriminate shelling campaign which killed thousands of civilians. Apparently killing civilians didn't qualify as aggression to the West. In fact the IMF explicitly warned the provisional government that their 17 billion dollar loan package could be in danger if they were not able to put down the uprising in eastern Ukraine.

While the war against eastern Ukraine was raging elections were held and Petro Poroshenko was elected president. It turns out that Poroshenko, was exposed by a leaked diplomatic cable released by wikileaks in 2008 as having worked as a mole for the U.S. State Department since 2006. They referred to him as "Our Ukraine insider" and much of the cable referred to information that he was providing. (A separate cable showed that the U.S. knew Poroshenko was corrupt even at that point.)
Having a puppet in place however hasn't turned out to be enough to give Washington the upper hand in this crisis. What does Washington do when they have no other leverage? They impose sanctions, they demonize and they saber rattle (or pull a false flag). This isn't a very good strategy when dealing with Russia. In fact it has already backfired. The sanctions have merely pushed Russia and China into closer cooperation and accelerated Russia's de-dollarization agenda. And in spite of the rhetoric, this has not led to Russia being isolated. The U.S. and NATO have put a wedge between themselves and Russia, but not between Russia and the rest of the world (look up BRICS if you are unclear about this). This new anti-dollar axis goes deeper than economics. These countries understand what's at stake here. This is why in the wake of the Ukrainian crisis China has proposed a new Eurasian security pact which would include Russia and Iran. Consider the implications here as the Obama administration begins bombing in Syria which also has a mutual defense agreement with Iran. This is not the cold war 2.0. This is World War 3.0. The masses may not have figured it out yet, but history will remember it that way. Alliances are already solidifying and and a hot war is underway on multiple fronts. If the provocations and proxy wars continue, it's only a matter of time before the big players confront each other directly, and that is a recipe for disaster.

Robert Parry reported the first breaking stories about Iran-Contra for Associated Press that were largely ignored by the press and congress, then moving to Newsweek he witnessed a retraction of a true story for political reasons.
In ‘Fooling America: A Talk by Robert Parry’ he said, “The people who succeeded and did well were those who didn’t stand up, who didn’t write the big stories, who looked the other way when history was happening in front of them, and went along either consciously or just by cowardice with the deception of the American people.” Major networks are primarily controlled by giant corporations that are obligated by law, to put the profits of their investors ahead of all other considerations which are often in conflict with the practice of responsible journalism. There were around 50 corporations a couple of decades ago, which was considered monopolistic by many and yet today, these companies have become larger and fewer in number as the biggest ones absorb their rivals. This concentration of ownership and power reduces the diversity of media voices, as news falls into the hands of large conglomerates with holdings in many industries that interferes in newsgathering, because of conflicts of interest.
Mockingbird was an immense financial undertaking with funds flowing from the CIA largely through the Congress for Cultural Freedom (CCF) founded by Tom Braden with Pat Buchanon of CNN’s Crossfire. Media corporations share members of the board of directors with a variety of other large corporations including banks, investment companies, oil companies, health care, pharmaceutical, and technology companies. Until the 1980′s, media systems were generally domestically owned, regulated, and national in scope. However, pressure from the IMF, World Bank, and US government to deregulate and privatize, the media, communication, and new technology resulted in a global commercial media system dominated by a small number of super-powerful transnational media corporations (mostly US based), working to advance the cause of global markets and the CIA agenda. The first tier of the nine giant firms that dominate the world are Time Warner/AOL, Disney/ABC, Bertelsmann, Viacom/CBS, Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation/Fox, General Electric/NBC, Sony, Universal/Seagram, Tele-Communications, Inc. or TCI and AT&T. This is just the head of the octopus which has its second and third tier tentacles working together in unison or feigned division. This would include The Washington Post/Newsweek, The New York Times/Weekly Standard, Tribune Co., US News, Gannett/USA Today, Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal, Washington Times, Knight-Ridder, etcetera. We recently wrote about the ongoing delays in releasing a (heavily redacted) executive summary of the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report on the CIA’s torture regime following 9/11. That was linked to a Reuters story about how the CIA and the Senate Intelligence Committee still can’t agree on what to redact. However, I’d totally missed a line at the end of that Reuters piece that Kevin Gosztola calls to our attention. It’s where Reuters reporter Patricia Zengerle decides to not call torture “torture,” but rather “physically stressful interrogation.” Human rights activists and many politicians have labeled as “torture” some of the physically stressful interrogation techniques, such as water boarding – or simulated drowning – that were authorized under former President George W. Bush. This is a cheap cop out by Reuters and Zengerle. Waterboarding is torture. A month ago, the NY Times finally got around to admitting that waterboarding and the other interrogation techniques used by the CIA were torture and that it would call it that in the future. Reuters should get with the program (also known as the English language). It’s the “view from nowhere” to pull the “well, some human rights activists call it torture.” It is torture. It is not just a few human rights activists saying this. It is widely accepted as torture. The UN has said it is torture, and Reuters reporters should know that because that article is from Reuters.

This is only the beginning as Ukraine has clearly made the case that it will plug its gas reserve gap using "reverese flow" of Russian gas in transit to Europe. More importantly, this follows news earlier today from Poland’s PGNiG which said Gazprom lowered supply by 20%-24% in past 2 days. So is this the beginning of the quite literal, ahead of the winter, European cold war? It looks like it, although for now it is all covered up in diplomacy with Bloomberg reporting that the Russian exporter "set volumes of daily natgas deliveries to Poland at level of end of last week due to preparations for heating season in Russia, Gazprom official says by phone, asking not to be identified in line with corporate policy." That, and conveniently Gazprom decided to "carry out some maintenance work at its pipeline system in Russia."
Some maintenance work which suddenly saw Poland, which is 80% reliant on Russian gas, receive up to a quarter less Russian gas... Finally, Gazprom noted that it also has to pump additional 7.3bcm of fuel to local underground inventories for winter in next month. To be sure, Poland refused to tip its cards, and quickly commented that it won’t be hurt "as its underground storage is full", as was to be expected simply to avoid giving Russia all the leverage, something we also explained previously, when we observed in "Here Is Why Europe Just Launched The "Nuclear Option" Against Russia" that the Europe's 2014 winter war will be between the amount of gas held in European reserves, and how long Russian companies can go without obtaining European funding.
Then again, and once again confirming it is all about leverage, and who has it, Gazeta.ru reports that it took Poland just hours to halt its reverse flow to Ukraine: Poland has suspended gas supplies to Ukraine in reverse flow. This was stated by the head of the company "Ukrtransgaz" Igor Prokop'ev, reports RIA "Novosti." "Not everything is so simple. Today, Russia has begun to limit the supply of gas to the Republic of Poland to thwart reverse with Poland, we learn. At two o'clock in Poland ceased to reverse the Ukraine within the 4 million cubic meters ", - he explained the situation. Earlier Polish PGNiG reported about the reduction of Russian gas supplies by 24%.

Disrupted economic relations with Russia will worsen the condition of European economy, weaken its competitive position against US, destabilisation of banking system will stimulate the outflow of US funds to support the dollar pyramid. The involvement of European countries in a war with Russia will increase their political dependency on US and will make it easier for US to force EU into making US-favourable decisions.
Thanks to war, US military-industrial complex will receive a large volume of orders, US economy will thrive, while at the same time, it will be easy to take under control weakened by war Russia, like it happened back in the rakish 90's. Thus, after destroying the major opponents on the world arena, US will have a strategic advantage in the fight against China for global leadership. Unlike EU and Russia, who will have a wrecked economy and mountains of dead bodies, the US will come out as a winner, war on foreign soil is what has saved US economy many times before. We can confidently say that the genocide of Russian-speaking population in Ukraine will not stop and provocations to follow will be more horrific. Sooner or later, Russia will send in troops into Ukraine, but to avoid millions of victims among Russians, Ukrainians and Europeans, EU leaders simply must turn their backs on their overseas owners and admit: Russia is not only protecting its own national interests, Russia seeks to prevent the outbreak of a Third World War, otherwise the survivors of WWIII will witness a new US economical rebirth.

What they found is that the government of the United States has been replaced. It is not a Democracy as many are calling it. It is not even a Republic as it was founded by the Constitution. We are not a government for the people, nor are we by the people. The scientific study being attributed to Princeton was conducted by Martin Gilens of Princeton University and Benjamin I. Page of Northwestern University, and they combed through years of legislation from the 1990’s until the modern era.

What they concluded is that we have left the Republic in shambles and have formed a new form of government despite the Constitution. They conclude that the Teaparty, Occupy Movement, Libertarians, and others are all correct. They conclude that the United States has became an Oligarchy. When the Tea Party yells, “the elite ‘Main Street’ Republicans are working on their own agenda, not the people,” they could very well be correct. When Occupy yells, “we are a nation ruled by the 1%,” they might also be correct. When the Libertarians yell, “both sides have betrayed us for their own agenda of the elite ruling class”, they may also be correct. They use four theoretical traditions to base their conclusions.

Kiev, 7 set (EFE).- Estados Unidos, França, Itália, Polônia e Noruega, todos membros da Otan, fornecerão armamento moderno para a Ucrânia, revelou neste domingo em seu Facebook Yuri Lutsenko, conselheiro do presidente ucraniano, Petro Poroshenko. "Na cúpula da Otan (realizada no País de Gales) foram alcançados acordos sobre conselheiros militares ocidentais e o fornecimento de armamento moderno por parte dos EUA, França, Itália, Polônia e Noruega", escreveu Lutsenko.

O próprio Poroshenko, no fim da cúpula da Aliança Atlântica, realizada entre os dias 4 e 5 de setembro em Newport, assegurou em entrevista à emissora britânica "BBC" que alguns membros da Otan prometeram a Kiev fornecer armamento, embora não tenha especificado que países fariam isso. Os dois lados em confronto no leste da Ucrânia decretaram há dois dias um regime de cessar-fogo, que com exceção de alguns incidentes isolados foi respeitado por todas as partes durante a jornada de ontem. A trégua é um dos 12 pontos que fazem parte do Protocolo de Minsk, adotado há dois dias com mediação da Rússia e da OSCE, e que prevê além disso o controle internacional do fim das hostilidades e da fronteira russo-ucraniana, a troca de prisioneiros e a abertura de corredores humanitários.
