Standard & Poor's announced Tuesday that it is cutting the credit ratings of three major European banks: Credit Suisse, Barclays and Deutsche Bank. The downgrades, to A from A+, are because of higher risk, the company said in a statement, citing greater regulation and "uncertain market conditions."
