Right now, there is the presumption that the easing is over and they are going to raise interest rates. Guess what? If the stock market continues going as it is and the economy starts turning down, I think the Fed is going back to easing (money printing) again. They will use the economy as cover for its actions in trying to prop up the stock market and trying to prop up the banking system. The Fed’s primary function in life is to prop up the banking system. A weak economy is not good for the banking system. The economy is a sideline for it, and there is very little it can do, but it can use the weak economy as political cover for flooding the system with liquidity and keep the banking system afloat.” Williams goes on to say, “Any pull-back from the ‘taper,’ any shift in expectation, the Fed is going to have a QE 4, will tend to hit the dollar very hard. Along with that, a spike in gold prices and we’re off and running. . . . You are getting a confluence of extraordinary factors that are coming together that will cause the dollar to break. You’ll have a panic flight from the dollar along with dumping of U.S. Treasury bonds by foreign owners. We are coming in on the end game here.”

A new prize-winning American documemtary film has been released which suggests that the snipers who killed 100 demonstrators on Kiev's central square in January and February of this year may have been working for pro-western groups seeking to overthrow the then president, who was pro-Russian. The full video can be seen at the end of this article. This is precisely the opposite of what the western media reported at the time. Even though it sounds like old news, it is very interesting to have a look back at some of the events that caused the bloody civil war we are witnessing right now in Ukraine. We all remember leaked conversation of Estonian Foreign Minister and his claims that snipers that killed protestors were most likely hired by Maidan protest leaders. A few days ago, even Reuters, which usually has a strong anti-Russian bias when covering Russia, ran a special report in which they expose "serious flaws" in Maidan massacre probe. At the time of the sniper killings, although no thorough investigation had been conducted, the blame was immediately placed on the officers who served under Yanukovich and Russia.
In the film, we hear opinions of several experts (professional snipers, FBI and a number of interesting people) about the scene of the crime and who, indeed, could have killed the so-called "Heavenly Hundred" mostly members of neo-Nazi militant groups. The documentary doesn't discuss who killed more than 50 policeman since that is already known -members of Ukrainian militant groups, many of them also killed during Maidan riots. The documentary doesn't take sides and we disagree with some of what it says, but still, it is a worthwhile 50 minutes if you've been getting your info about the massacre from the western mainstream media.

“In this era of a global coalition against terrorism, the idea that a country that hosts a U.S. base is having face-to-face meetings with the Al Nusra Front and the Islamic State and relaying their demands is simply mind-boggling,” David Weinberg, an expert on Arabian Gulf affairs at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, told FoxNews.com. The Qataris, under pressure from the U.S. and others, had decreased their overt bankrolling of Al Nusra, one of the groups seeking to oust Syrian dictator Bashar Assad in that nation's spiraling civil war. But in addition to the UN hostages, Qatar also played a role in the release of U.S. journalist Peter Theo Curtis from the terror group's clutches in August, and in 2013 helped broker the release of an Austrian, a Swiss and two Finnish nationals with a reported eight-figure payment. Like the recent “eastern” gas pipeline deal, it too will run for 30 years.
It will reportedly be signed between Gazprom and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) in November. The two have also discussed the possibility of more than doubling or even trebling the gas volume later, up to between 60 billion to 100 billion cubic meters. The new deal on Russian western gas will partly utilize existing Russian gas pipelines. The new western pipeline gas deal is in addition to the major deal signed in May, 2014, between China and Russia after more than a decade of negotiating. That eastern or East Route Gas Project, calls for construction of a gas pipeline to provide China with 38 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually, from 2018. The East Route project, officially, the “Power of Siberia,” has just begun construction this month of a pipeline from the eastern Siberian city of Yakutsk, known as the coldest city in the world, and will cost an estimated $55 billion to be completed by 2018.

All of the military parts and products that were formerly being manufactured in Ukraine, have been switched to Russian factories instead. Now (10:48), "Everything is produced in Russia." He noticed that "our individual businesses preferred to buy micro-electronics in the West," and that they would need "to start the production, in Russia, of all that is necessary." He says "We have already given the necessary instructions" to do precisely that.

Assad was one of the few remaining dictators from the regional “axis of evil.” They’ve already got rid of Gaddafi and Hussein, they’ve backed off Iran and they certainly backed off North Korea now they have nukes. But Assad seemed to be fair game, and was a sitting duck as well because Russia at that time was trying to build a new energy pipeline which would go through Syria and provide the Russians with the Mediterranean base to get the energy from Iran through to Europe.So it was very much in America’s and Britain’s interest to try to destabilize Syria by trying to take out Assad and by providing support to these rebel groups many of whom then did evolve into these more extremist groups. Only last year our governments were still talking about aiding these groups, even Al-Nusra which has been taken over by Al-Qaeda extremists, which were frightening even for some of the regional Al-Qaeda people. They were desperate to get rid of Assad in order to thwart Russian interests in that region.

Kennedy Jr. Forum at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University on Thursday. “Our allies in the region were our largest problem in Syria,” he said, explaining that Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the UAE were “so determined to take down Assad,” that in a sense they started a “proxy Sunni-Shia war” by pouring “hundreds of millions of dollars and tens of thousands of tons of weapons” towards anyone who would fight against Assad. “And we could not convince our colleagues to stop supplying them,” said Biden, thus disassociating the US from unleashing the civil war in Syria. “The outcome of such a policy now is more visible,” he said, as it turned out they supplied extremists from Al-Nusra Front and Al-Qaeda. All of a sudden the regional powers that sponsored anti-Assad rebels awakened to the dawn of a major international security threat in the face of ISIS – now called Islamic State.

After being essentially thrown out of Iraq it found open space and territory in eastern Syria and established close ties with the Al-Nusra Front which the US had earlier declared a terrorist group. Now Washington needs a coalition of Sunni states to fight the Islamic State because “America can't once again go in to Muslim nation and be the aggressor, it has to be led by Sunnis, to attack a Sunni organization [the IS],” Biden said, acknowledging that it is for the first time that the US uses a geopolitical strategy. “Even if we wanted it to be, it cannot be our fight alone,” Biden said. “This cannot be turned into a US ground war against another Arab nation in the Middle East.” “But of what I’m more astonished is of his apparent amnesia about what America and Britain were trying to ferment in Syria only a year ago.

The Drudge Report repeated this line of criticism on September 11, 2014 (Peace Prize Prez Declares War), as did many right-leaning news sources. Greenwald went on to blast Obama for being indifferent to the legality of his actions: "The utter lack of interest in what possible legal authority Obama has to bomb Syria is telling indeed: Empires bomb who they want, when they want, for whatever reason (indeed, recall that Obama bombed Libya even after Congress explicitly voted against authorization to use force, and very few people seemed to mind that abject act of lawlessness; constitutional constraints are not for warriors and emperors)." Greenwald also rehashed the dichotomy between Obama's 2013 "red line" warnings that he wanted to bomb Syrian dictator Bashir al Assad, but is now bombing Assad's enemies.
Greenwald isn't the only one in the mainstream to left-leaning media to contrast Obama's Peace Prize with his constant bombing campaigns. During a recent press conference at the State Department, an AP reporter asked if Obama's actions were "worthy" of a president who was so famously a Peace Prize recipient. It was just over a year ago that Obama officials were insisting that bombing and attacking Assad was a moral and strategic imperative. Instead, Obama is now bombing Assad’s enemies while politely informing his regime of its targets in advance. It seems irrelevant on whom the U.S. wages war; what matters it that it will be at war, always and forever. Six weeks of bombing hasn’t budged ISIS in Iraq, but it has caused ISIS recruitment to soar. That’s all predictable: the U.S. has known for years that what fuels and strengthens anti-American sentiment (and thus anti-American extremism) is exactly what they keep doing: aggression in that region. If you know that, then they know that.
At this point, it’s more rational to say they do all of this not despite triggering those outcomes, butbecause of it. Continuously creating and strengthening enemies is a feature, not a bug. It is what justifies the ongoing greasing of the profitable and power-vesting machine of Endless War. f there is anyone who actually believes that the point of all of this is a moral crusade to vanquish the evil-doers of ISIS (as the U.S. fights alongside its close Saudi friends), please read Professor As’ad AbuKhalil’s explanation today of how Syria is a multi-tiered proxy war. As the disastrous Libya “intervention” should conclusively and permanently demonstrate, the U.S. does not bomb countries for humanitarian objectives. Humanitarianism is the pretense, not the purpose.

The Post also mentions (emphasis added): Jimmy Lai Chi-Ying, the embattled boss of Next Media who is under investigation by the Independent Commission Against Corruption over donations to pan-democrat politicians, said he arrived immediately after a call from Martin Lee Chu-ming. Benny Tai regularly attends US State Department, National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and its subsidiary the National Democratic Institute (NDI) funded and/or organized forums. Just this month, he spoke at a Design Democracy Hong Kong (NDI-funded) conference on political reform. He is also active at the University of Hong Kong’s Centre for Comparative and Public Law (CCPL) - also funded by NDI. His Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani, added that “there is consensus among all the Caspian Sea littoral states that they are capable of maintaining the security of the Caspian Sea and military forces of no foreign country must enter the sea,” Iran’s state news agency PressTV quoted Rouhani as saying. The move comes as both Russia and Iran are experiencing tense diplomatic relations with Western countries and feel increasingly threatened by a foreign military presence in the Caspian Sea. “Both Iran and Russia have interests in keeping under control a military presence of Western countries in the basin,” Bahman Diba, foreign policy expert and author of The Law and Politics of the Caspian Sea, told The Diplomat. “Because of the ongoing troubles with former Soviet countries such as Ukraine and Georgia, Russia revived a foreign policy that can bring to mind the Cold War era. At the same time, the Iranian regime is concerned that the west may use Caspian countries to put pressure on its nuclear program.” The Ukraine crisis has left the West seriously at odds with Moscow, which stands accused of breaching international law and violating Ukraine sovereignty. The array of sanctions imposed by the U.S. and Europe on Russia following the annexation of Crimea and fighting in Eastern Ukraine represent the toughest action taken by Western countries against the Kremlin since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
